Through The Lens: The Say Yes Club

Founded to encourage people into movement, East London's The Say Yes Club is all about positive community, encouragement and most of all, fun. Say yes to taking a look into a summer evening run through Adrian's lens.

When Esmée Gummer suffered a life-changing back injury that led to her having to re-learn to walk, she made a promise to herself that she'd keep saying "yes" to physical challenges, movement, exercise and fitness. Sometimes, that was as simple as a social 5k with friends; sometimes, that was multi-day running adventures. She vowed to say yes, because one day, you might have to say no.

To share her enthusiasm and ethos, The Say Yes Club was born. The community is built on giving people the tools and confidence to say "YES!" to movement through weekly runs, team races and big adventures abroad.

Based out of London Fields, the crew meet for their weekly Pub Club 5k every Tuesday, offering pace-groups for all. You can also spot The Say Yes Club runners at almost every major race in London - you'll likely find them before, and after (and sometimes during!) the race dancing by the nearest speaker-system!

Adrian went to capture the vibe one summer evening.
