The now-iconic arch of Wembley Stadium is a symbol of London's sporting identity - the concentration of national pride via the England Men's and Women's Football Teams, celebrated for their success and diversity. When it comes to the surrounding area, one would assume access to sport and movement is a given, thanks to its locale. 64% of the Brent population comes from diverse Black, Asian, and other communities of colour, yet just 5% of these populations participate in running, significantly less than the 11% average for the UK.

Lack of access to sport comes in many forms, be that knowledge and education surrounding running, financial needs, access to safe spaces, or simply visibility of 'minority' communities in running, the issues run deep.

NOV Run Club sets out to shift this narrative. Providing weekly sessions and runs that encourage people from all backgrounds within the borough, the club is forming a community of people to share experiences, connect and grow. Founded in 2020, NOV have grown beyond just weekly runs and into races like Run The Ends, and regularly giving members access to races like the London Marathon.
