In a sentence, tell us about yourself
Yorkshire lad. Once spent my days running up and down the mountains of Gods own country, now I’m seemingly a permanent feature in Battersea Park. Love to run. And eat. A lot.
What gets you up in the morning? What’s the first thing you do?
Honestly, if I don’t get up and run before 9 am I never will. Getting up and out on a run first thing mentally sets me up for the day. And keeps me out of trouble with coach.

How about what gets you out the door to run?
As said above I always aim to get my run done first thing. I’m usually quite motivated to get out and train, every mile is a mile banked. Usually follow up my run with granola and a caramel latte.
What excites you about the running community in London?
So far I’ve met such a diverse array of people through running in London, from first time park runners to seasoned marathoners. It’s so cool to see the sport bring everyone together and support eachother in our own running journeys. It’s exciting to see the community grow and what we can all achieve.

Favourite shoe of all time?
My go-to everyday runners would be either Asics Superblasts or New Balance 1080s.
For race days I really like the Asics Megaspeed Sky Paris - I set my 5km PB in these and every time I wear them they give me the confidence that I can show some speed.
Give us some London recs, what should we be checking out? (Food, Drink, Running, otherwise)
For post Battersea Park runs, Battersea Brew is a sweet independent coffee spot.
Being an ex-St Marys student, Bushy Park will always be a special running spot for me, even better if the run is followed up by Lebanese food for lunch from Sidra in Teddington.
Call me basic but I will never turn down a meal at Dishoom - I’d die for those gunpowder potatoes.
