After jumping in to help out at Exposition, Abi has now joined the team at The Shoe Room armed with her sports science expertise and experience at leading brands in running. We threw her into the deep-end with her first shift: a Sunday night stock count; sorry, Abi. As yet another member of Peckham Pacers, the club is nearing majority within Runlimited... the rest of us better watch out.
In a sentence, tell us about yourself
Running round London constantly trying to figure out how to spend more time in the mountains and by the sea.

What gets you up in the morning? What’s the first thing you do?
At the moment, the tennis highlights :) Black tea always first thing in the morning, preferably sat in the sun in the garden.
What gets you out the door to run?
The Hills girls. The only way I’ll get out for a run at 7am is to meet them with a guaranteed coffee after. Otherwise, I’ll wait for a sunny evening and the promise of a beer at the end.
What excites you about the running community in London?
It’s full of energy and momentum, especially among women right now. There are so many chances to push yourself in sessions or races, and always someone up for whatever kind of run you’re after track, trails, or just a catch-up jog.

Favourite shoe of all time?
You couldn’t beat a Nike Peg 33. But now it’s good to be back in the New Balance 1080.
Give us some London recs, what should we be checking out?
Stick to the South East, you can’t move for good parks and good pubs. My go-to run is the Green Chain out to Crystal Palace. A cycle to Gipsy Hill Brewery or hours in the sun at Brockwell Lido are my favourite ways to spend an afternoon. For food, you can’t go wrong with Falafel & Shawarma, Huong Vi Viet, or Cafe Mondo in Camberwell.
Anything else you want to share?
Officially retired from track and cross-country. No matter how hard you try, I won’t be talked into a comeback.
